Do’s :- Kindly send the clinical details, along with all diagnostic imaging/X-ray details. This helps us to provide a better and more conclusive diagnosis with clinico-pathologic correlation.
Do’s :- Store the specimen in 10% formalin solution at ALL times. (If formalin is unavailable with the clinician, kindly contact us to provide the formalin as well as the specimen containers.)
Do’s :- Please select an appropriate area for biopsy, especially for Incisional Biopsies.
Don’t :- Avoid putting the specimen in saline or water etc.
Dont’s:- Avoid crushing or pressing the tissue pieces
Dont’s:-Avoid very small segmental biopsies < 1 cm in size, as they do not allow for good assessment.
