We are proficient in reporting pathologies occurring in the Head and neck & Oral and Maxillofacial regions.
  • A biopsy’s size depends on the nature, size and location of the lesion. There is no ideal as such, but a minimum of 1 cm diameter biopsy is a good size to go by.
  • Place the specimen in 10% formalin solution covering more than 3/4th of the bottle/container. (approximately 10 times the specimen size)
  • Do not allow the specimen to dry and sit out for long periods before placing it in formalin solution
  • Wash the specimen to remove traces of blood before putting in the tissue container.
